Survery on Cornea Donor's Medical records

Abstract

|
The successful Cornea Transplantation will be contributed to procure the cornea donors due to cornea recipients and cornea donors have the worth. For Cornea Transplantation patients have no compliction, it is necessary that the condition of
donor's
cornea are the fresh and no infection.
The result of blood test and the right past history about cornea donors will be assessed the condition of cornea. So medical team members must record the information of the blood test and past history about cornea donors. The result of them, they
show
that medical team members did the best in the sucessful Cornea Transplantation due to using right cornea.
This study was done to obstain basic data for security of cornea donors who are essential to accomplish Cornea Transplantation. But there was absent cornea donor's medical records at 5 hospital in Pusan. So gained information of the cornea donors
from
52 medical records of cornea recipients who received Corneal Transplantation from 1993, Jan. to 1996, Aug. and through telephone interview with donors family get information & needs of them.
The data was gained from 1996 Sep. to 1996 Oct..

@EN 1. Among 52 Medical Record of cornea recipients, only 4 cases had information of cornea donor's..
2. The information was sex, age, etiology of death, death time & enucleation.
3. Among 40 cornea recipients who were possible telephone interview, only 1 case know that received foreign cornea. The others never know about cornea donors
4. Result of the telephone interview, one family of cornea donor wanted to meet cornea recipient but refused to them becouse of anxiety about finacial demand.
